Our Process
Character Design
We collaborated with the film's art director to design characters that were both appealing and believable as woodland creatures, with distinctive personalities reflected in their appearance and movement.
3D Modeling & Sculpting
Using ZBrush, we sculpted highly detailed character models, paying careful attention to anatomy and proportions to ensure the characters would move naturally during animation.
Rigging & Character Setup
We created advanced character rigs with intuitive controls for the animators, including facial rigs capable of expressing a wide range of emotions and specialized systems for fur and clothing dynamics.
Animation
Our animation team brought the characters to life with expressive performances, carefully crafting each movement to reflect the characters' personalities and emotional states throughout the story.
Challenges
Creating believable animal characters that could express human-like emotions while maintaining their animal nature was particularly challenging. We had to find the right balance between realism and stylization, and develop specialized rigging solutions for quadruped movement and facial expressions.
Results
The animated short received widespread praise for its charming characters and emotional storytelling. It was selected for several prestigious animation festivals and won awards for character animation and design.
